BC Battery Controller offers a range of battery chargers and trickle chargers, the only 100% Made in Italy chargers of the last generation that are among the safest and most advanced on the market. It performs 8 charging cycles fully automatically and it can be used to maintain and charge batteries used in automotive, motorhome, power sports, garden and deep cycle applications. This range includes BC PLUS 4000+ 24V, a charger and trickle device with a maximum charging current of 4 Amp, which has been developed thanks to an automatic algorithm (without having to choose anything) for the full maintenance of all types of conventional 24V batteries, from lead-acid to AGM batteries, from 15Ah to 150Ah. It charges much faster than standard chargers, with the BC Battery Controller products, the battery can last up to 8/10 years and it can repair sulfated batteries and recharge fully discharged batteries from 2.5V (the lowest level on the market) and it is designed for use in micro hybrid vehicles equipped with start-stop system. BC PLUS 4000+ 24V is powered by a state-of-the-art micro computer that monitors the safety and efficient charging of the battery. It automatically minimises energy consumption, it guarantees a high level of protection thanks to its Spark-Free system (spark-free) and is protected against overcharging, reverse polarity and short circuit. Fully automatic, it can always stay connected to the battery 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so for whole months, even for years in a completely safe way. In addition, this product is super lightweight and thanks to its carbon effect labelling, simple design and compactness and manageability, it is really suitable for everyone. Despite its compactness, it is equipped with a very robust case that prevents slipping and makes it resistant to scratches, drops, bumps, accidental squeezing, UV rays and water (IP44). The product comes with handy clamps and practical attachment eyelets that remain on the vehicle. Thanks to the intuitive backlit LCD display (which also ensures perfect night vision), BC PLUS 4000+ 24V informs us about the battery voltage and the running cycle every 10 seconds. The product is covered by a 5 year warranty and a premium service directly from the factory, considering the very few cases treated. Charging algorithm - charging program: the charger is internally controlled by a microprocessor that monitors the battery status in real time and automatically performs 8 charging cycles. - Phase 1 - Initialization: checks whether one or more cells are short-circuited, or if the battery is in a correct state and can be recharged/restored. - Phase 2 - Recovery: when the battery is extremely discharged (from 2.5V), the device attempts to restore it to higher voltages compatible with the next phase. - Phase 3 - Light charging: when the battery is discharged, the device delivers a light pulsating current to the battery to overcome the critical phase. - Phase 4 - Main charging: during this phase, the battery charger delivers full power to the battery, which can regain up to 85-90% of its capacity. - Phase 5 - Desulphation / absorption: in this phase a "controlled overcharge" is delivered to the battery, which is able to restore the remaining 10-15% of the battery capacity, with a recovery/desulphurisation of the lead-acid cells (for medium or low desulphation). - Phase 6 - Battery analysis: the device stops the supply of power to the battery for a few minutes to check if the battery can receive the charge. This test is repeated regularly. - Phase 7 - Preservation: thanks to a specially designed electronic circuit, the battery charge is maintained even over long downtimes, without loss of water/electrolyte, overheating and overcharging phenomena. - Phase 8 - Balance: during long-term preservation, the device carries out a balance charge every 30 days to balance the cells of the battery and avoid the stratification of the electrolyte in the battery cells.
