Description

Sika flex 149 Auto is a polyurethane sealant for the production of waterproof and flexible assemblies in automotive and motorhome bodywork. It adheres without primer to the main materials used in the automotive such as aluminium, treated steel, copper, wood, plywood, laminate, polyester and it can be sanded and painted. Technical information: Media temperature: +5°C min. / +40°C max. Curing speed: approx. 3.5 mm/24 hours (+23 °C / 50% RH). Skin training time: approx. 70 min (+23°C/50% RH). Method of application: The substrates must be cohesive, healthy, dry and clean. Place on the part to be glued or on the support cords or studs (a few centimeters apart) of Sikaflex-149 Auto with a ma-nuel gun. Attach the piece to be glued to its substrate before it forms a skin, by applying simple manual pressure until a minimum thickness of sealant is obtained of 1 mm and 3 mm maximum. Hold in place if necessary, during the first hours of curing using adhesive paper, wedge or clamp. An incorrectly positioned piece will be easily adjusted within the first few minutes after it is put into place. Exert pressure again. The final strength is obtained after complete polymerization. Wait for the complete polymerization of the putty-glue for recommissioning.
