This antique heavy duty Suffolk thumb latch meets both requirements and is built to withstand the wet and cold weather outdoors. The Suffolk - Thumb Latch includes a handle with thumb depressor and lever that is usually mounted on the road side of the gate, with the attached lever appearing through a borehole on the inside of the gate. When the thumb depressor is activated, the lever lifts the latch located on the inside of the gate from the shutter up and down so you can open and close the gate.
